Testimonials

Leslie is a very competent, professional, patient, and caring swim instructor who is great with kids! I would recommend her to anyone who is lucky enough to have her teach their child how to swim.

I was amazed that after even one lesson, my 3-year-old son had lost his fear of the water and totally listened and trusted Ms. Leslie! He was so excited and couldn't wait for each lesson. My 7-year-old learned proper breathing and form and lost his fear of the water, too. He felt confident with the teaching. Eleven-year-old kids are notorious for knowing it all! My son had aspirations of joining a swim team, but needed to know the strokes and become efficient. Ms. Leslie gave him a strong base to compete. As a parent, I could practice the skills and safety she taught me and my sons. For the next season of swimming, they couldn't wait to practice and “show off” what they had accomplished. It was a great refresher to prepare for the summer!

Miss Leslie is an exceptional swim teacher! She is focused on safety, skills, and fun. I have used her for private and semi-private lessons with both of my daughters starting at age 3 and continued on with her for three summers. My girls have a love of the water and are now swimming on their school’s team. We receive compliments on their skills all the time and I credit Miss Leslie for my girls’ success! We love Miss Leslie and recommend her to any parent who wants their child to be safe and confident in the water.

Prior to her lessons with Leslie, my 5-year-old daughter not only couldn't swim, but she was so afraid of the water that she would cry in the shower unless we used a visor. She was too afraid to learn to swim with us, so we asked Leslie for help. Leslie is an amazing teacher with just the right balance of kind, supportive, and firm. My daughter was water safe and swimming after only eight 30 minute lessons, which is a miracle. She no longer uses a visor in the shower and, in fact, loves to let the water pour down her face. She actually cries if we can't go swimming, and is now, a few weeks after her lessons, diving for rings in the pool. After the last lesson, she told me other kids should learn to swim with Leslie too. I asked her why and she responded, "Because she is nice and she's kind and she gives us little pushes to the step. She is the best swim teacher ever."
